According to their Facebook bio, Mesadorm is a new collaborative project between Blythe Pepino, Aaron Zahl, Daisy Palmer (Paloma Faith, Goldfrapp, MIKA), Jo Silverston (The Unthanks, Red Clay Halo, Frank Turner) and David Johnston (ZunZun Egui, Phil King, Chairfight!). With such a strong pedigree of associated acts behind them, it's no surprise that the quintet's debut outing 'Easy' is a truly stunning piece of folk-inspired pop that pulls directly on your heartstrings. Channelling the greatness of Kate Bush, Suzanne Vega, Julia Holter and Björk to name just a few, 'Easy''s striking, intimate vocals stand out above a bed of majestic piano parts and earthy percussion. The accompanying video, which features nearly all the band's family members reinforces the touching message of the track as the band explain, “Easy pokes gentle fun at the myth that life could be, or would be breezy 'if only'.
