Hailing from the small-yet-beautiful Cayman Islands, this 21-year-old singer, songwriter and producer beckons to the listener with a sense of otherworldliness in new single ‘Empty’. The music video is as dark and brooding as the track’s electronics, with the red garmented Maeve luring us into shadowy caves, her digitally-altered vocals clashing up against the barren surroundings. It’s a truly haunting debut that showcases the musician’s deft production skills and left-field leanings - it’s all broken beats, quiet thuds, metallic layers, pulsating bass.
