M.I.L.K. is the brainchild of Copenhagen soul smoothie Emil Wilk. Formed recently, and featuring a stellar supporting cast - including Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen of Reptile Youth and MØ collaborator Simon Torp Littauer - M.I.L.K.'s debut track 'If We Want To' went live last week and the plays are already rocketing up thanks to a stack of blog coverage. The Dane's sporadic brass flourishes, faintly calypso guitars and heaps of finger-clicking recall an even more laidback Jungle, and with Emil crooning "We could stay here forever / Or we could also just go back to my place / Maybe, maybe," - we reckon the West Londoners have some competition in the soundtrack-to-summer romance stakes.
