Louis Coupe’s new single is an emotional journey backed by gentle piano chords. ‘Hannah’s Got A Way’ is driven by lyrics that explore relationships that aren’t quite right, but can’t be let go. “I think I wrote it to convince myself that we were in love and that we were compatible,” he explains. “You know that stage when you’re constantly wondering what’s going on inside the other person’s head and in the end you have to wake up to the fact it just isn’t working and you’re totally the wrong match for each other.” These honest, vulnerable lyrics are sung with passion and emotion, and don’t require a grand, multi-layered composition to be goosebump-enducing.
