Moving closer to the release of her new album Gentle Confrontation, prolific London Ableton wiz, Loraine James shares another incredible collaboration in 'I DM U'. Featuring black midi's Morgan Simpson on drums - a pairing that makes a lot of sense when you think about both artists' almost super-human ability to understand space and time, the abstract instrumental is explorative, ambitious and simply stunning. Managing to land on the beats between beats, Simpson's percussive, quick fire approach to James' glassy soundscape is a match made in heaven. Jamming for a substantial 4-and-a-half-minutes, 'I DM U' is a piece you can easily get lost in, moving through changes in mood and dynamic absolutely seamlessly before lowering you back into reality.
