‘on the mend’ is the new track from LA-based solo artist little bit. Her music is influenced by a wide range of artists, with the focused, melodic pop of Charli XCX and Avril Lavigne combining with the indie rock of Elliot Smith to provide a sound that blends indie-pop with razor-sharp lyrics. This one is filled with jangly guitars and colourful, widescreen production that complements her airy, wistful voice. “My instinct if someone hurt me used to be to default to anger or resentment,” she says. “But as I’ve evolved and cultivated better access to my own feelings, I learned it’s better to wish people well instead of holding negative feelings.
