Without doubt, one of the most exciting outfits to surface this past year or so - LEISURE are causing quite a stir. Based out of Auckland, New Zealand - their striking, funk-flavoured electronic RnB jams have seen widespread acclaim thus far, with new single ‘Control Myself’ looking set to only enhance the good feeling around the project. Gloriously groovy, and unwaveringly consistent, the five-piece have delivered once again with this latest cut - which incorporates psychedelic synth chords, and confident fret-work into a funk-laced rhythm section, topped off with some irresistibly catchy vocal melody ideas. LEISURE are close to finishing their album apparently - and if the six excellent tracks they’ve released to date are anything to go by, then we’re all in for a treat. -JC
