Break ups are universally known as the worst things ever and new Suffolk singer songwriter Leaone has really captured the heartbreak in wrenching debut single ‘Young Green Eyes’, out on 15th April. Written about and likely for his ex-girlfriend, the piano-filled track was penned whilst living in his parents loft during a bout of bad luck where he also lost his job and was mugged. Although definitely an emotional ballad duo to circumstance, there are sweeping uplifting moments which go hand in hand with strong pop writing. Mixed by Stereophonics' producer Jim Lowe, Leaone has a distinct stadium filling feel to him, as if Coldplay got a cool younger brother. - SJ
