Lara Jones has released her new single, ‘Depressed RN’. It’s a dancefloor-ready cut that weaves a sonic tapestry combining pulsating electronics with subtly jazzy harmonies. There’s a punky angst in her unique voice, which sits perfectly atop thick bass and glitchy beats. Lyrically, it’s about “that ebb and flow we face as humans that I think can be heightened for creatives where we lean into these different states. Battling those highs and lows is something I’ve always been super conscious of and have to work hard to find a balance in.” Alongside the track, Jones has revealed details of her upcoming EP, Divided, which is out on September 13th, 2024, via Sound Records. -Dan Peeke
