‘Rose Hip November’ is the focus track from Lando Manning’s brand new EP. This new single is a reworking of the Vashti Bunyan classic. He takes the ethereal, tender and melodic nature of the original and imbues it with a psych-garage sensibility. It remains hazy and misty, but with a subtle electronic edge. On the track he offers: “The first time I listened to Diamond Day it really changed the way in which I made music. ‘Rose Hip November’ was always a standout song from that album. It has this ethereal, psychedelic feel to it; it shakes off some of the sweetness of some of the other tracks on the record and is certainly the most haunting. I always wondered what it would sound like with a band playing it and my band and I were in the studio one day and decided to give it a go and this was the result.” His new EP, Fragments, is out now. -Dan Peeke
