Having caught Lambrini Girls' explosive show at the Moth Club a week or so ago, which saw literal sparks fly, we can confirm that their new single 'God's Country' went down like a house on fire. Straight-talking as ever, Pheobe's snarling observations on the state of 'Great' Britain are upheld by fuzzed-out bass, visceral guitars and rigid drums. Sounding absolutely gigantic, with the help of Gilla Band's Daniel Fox on production duties, Lambrini Girl's chaotic brand of sludgy punk is impossible to ignore and so are the injustices that exist in the UK and further afield as a result of our leaders. Lambrini Girls will play their biggest headline show to date at SCALA on the 13th of June and you'd be a fool to miss it. -Holly Mullineaux
