KROOKED TONGUE I DON’T BELIEVE IN GHOSTS
‘I Don’t Believe In Ghosts’ is the new release from TMR regulars Krooked Tongue. It’s a track unlike anything they’ve done before, with a fragile tenderness coming to the fore thanks to the simple piano chords that underpin Oli Rainsford’s gentle, tender vocal display. The track is drawn to a close by a slowly disintegrating swirl of layered vocals and piano, forcing the listener to confront themselves as it reaches a haunting silence. The Bristol-based trio explain that their new song “holds the chalice of uncertainty with the tender grip of an exhausted hand. It’s a song that tries its best to pry open the syntax of death, to make sense of it, but knows there’s no way to categorise or organise our emotions when it comes to losing someone.” Krooked Tongue are gearing up to independently release their debut album, I Know A Place, on April 24th, 2026. Be sure to check it out. -Dan Peeke
