19-year-old vocal powerhouse Jvck James from East London has just released his majestic R&B track ‘Fears’. With a lush atmospheric falsetto James is accompanied by downtempo productions from LOXE. An exquisite hypnotic piece, ‘Fears’ is highly reminiscent of old school soul merged with futuristic R&B sounds, a tension which is replicated in the psychedelic music video. In the run up to his debut headliner this month at the Servant Jazz Quarters, the singer-songwriter has been praised by the likes of NAO and Masego, and off the back of his performance on COLORS he is also set to support R&B songstress Mahalia on her forthcoming tour. -Nathalie Juma
