Joanna Gemma Auguri has released a fantastic new single, ‘Last Dance’, alongside vocalist Keeley Forsyth. On the collaboration between these two forward-thinking artists, Joanna says: “The affinity for each other was immediate, as was the obvious overlap in melancholy and intimacy in musical preferences. We stayed in touch. Last summer I asked her and her partner Ross Downes to join me on a song for the record and I'm really pleased with the result - it reminds me of a kind of eerie nursery rhyme.” Musically, their haunting vocals echo and intertwine above lamenting zither chords, cascading down over one another during the track’s most emotive moments. It’s rare that a piece of music is able to paint a picture as clear as this; it’s almost like the soundtrack to an Edgar Allen Poe story.
