JERSKIN FENDRIX BETH'S FARM

Having been on quite the journey from the sweaty ceilings of the Brixton Windmill to the red carpet, Jerskin Fendrix announces his long-awaited sophomore album. Entitled Once Upon A Time... In Shropshire, the LP is succinctly described as "10 folk songs about life & death in the countryside" arriving on the 10th of October. Pastoral epic 'Beth's Farm' spearheads proceedings, like a more whimsical A. G. Cooke track delivered through a staunch young millennial lens. As ever, Fendrix' lyricism is oddly touching as classical strings prop up stand-out lines, 'the egg is the moon, the beans are the stars and nobody starves on Beth's Farm'. Arriving physically as a double gatefold LP on black vinyl or (significantly) in "mud brown" from indie record shops, Once Upon A Time... In Shropshire is set to surprise and delight at every corner. -Holly Mullineaux
