Upcoming duo Imbibe had already begun to turn heads with a string of upcoming live dates (including one supporting Parcels at London’s Roundhouse) before their debut single ‘Mirage’ was even released. ‘Mirage’ is an expertly produced (by Grammy-nominated Will Hicks) blend of catchy melodies and bright synth lines, courtesy of Australian brothers Tennyson and Holden Nobel. The duo say that the track is “really about the different mirages all humans have - the things we keep striving for that represent our deep longings and hopes. The never-ending search for meaning”. Helium Records have done well to secure Imbibe, who, on the back of such an exciting debut, will no doubt continue to rise. -Dan Peeke
