‘Another One Gone’ is the new single from pub-punks Hotel Lux. It’s a nuanced, detailed cut that shows off their band’s introspective side. A deep, multi-faceted vocal sits at the core of the track, while the twang of electric guitar, low thump of piano notes and a subtle drum beat create a gradually building atmosphere. They say: “Written completely collaboratively, and recorded live to replicate the emotional intensity of our live shows, we thought it was the right song to begin this chapter, finding us simultaneously at our most vulnerable, and our most confident. It’s about having lost friends, and the fear of losing others; a sort of lament for the former, and a prayer for the latter.” This is the band’s first release since their acclaimed 2023 debut, Hands Across The Creek.
