Boston slow-core enthusiasts Horse Jumper of Love announce their hotly-tipped new album Disaster Trick alongside its moving lead track 'Wink'. Sitting in a confident downbeat tempo, 'Wink' unfurls like a flower slowly blooming. Moving through sparse verses, impactful choruses and tasteful instrumental breaks of intertwining guitar work, 'Wink' is elevated further by the guest vocals of Wednesday's Karly Hartzman, who brings a welcome sense of lightness to the weighty instrumentation. Guitarist, lyricist and vocalist Dimitri Giannopoulos explains: “I was inspired by a Russian short story called “Leaves” by Dimitry Bakin. The story is partly about people leaving their home for something better but when they return they are back to the same place they started. The story shed some perspective on my own life and the ebb and flow of pushing forward for something better and going back to your old ways.” Horse Jumper of Love hit the road with modern shoegaze legends DIIV this July, followed by the arrival Disaster Trick via Run For Cover Records on the 16th of August. -Holly Mullineaux
