We’ve covered the work of Hi Frisco a lot here at TMR, and their latest track, ‘Uno Mas’, is one of their best yet. The due of psychedelic songwriters have a gift for blending uplifting pop sounds and samples with atmospheric, ethereal timbres and vocals. They explain that the track started life very differently to the version we can hear today, journey from “a potential album track with duelling guitar solos and spaced out synths,” into “a way for us both to have some fun remotely and release some of the pent up frustrations of the past year in a more beat driven electronic style.” Their debut full-length Goodbye, Blue Monday was met with rave reviews last year. -Dan Peeke
