Having lived with her most recent album (Share Your Care) for a little while, Brighton-based musician Helen Ganya releases an exciting collection of corresponding remixes. Headed up by a dizzying rework of 'Mekong' by Ambassadeurs, the new EP features further contributions from Miss Grit, Andrew Hung, and Cherif Hashizume. Upping the tempo of the original, Ambassadeurs lean into 'Mekong's palpable sense of wunderlust, using twinkling synths and a subby undercurrent to extrapolate Ganya's inquisitive lyricism into a fleshed-out piece of euphoric electronica. Speaking of the release, Ganya explains: “I always enjoy asking musicians/producers I admire to do remixes. My approach has been to let them choose the song that resonates most with them as it means the result is more likely to feel intuitive and deeply connected to their own voice.
