HAERTS return with another sliver of pop gold in 'Giving Up'. It's the second teaser off their forthcoming debut on Columbia, after 'Call My Name', and their glorious Hemiplegia EP - and it showcases the Brooklynites at their absolute purest, Muscular synths canter alongside choppy percussion and wispy choral parts like a throng of rather peacockish prized racehorses, as singer Nini Fabi - whose naked body is adorned with iridescent paint in the lyric video - sweetly croons, "Now I'm a stranger in my own world/It's not your fault that I can't use words." Heartbreaking, but more devilishly retro than Madonna taking over the dancefloor in a sparkly cocktail dress.
