GUV, the solo project of Ben Cook, has revealed his new single, ‘Warmer Than Gold’. It’s a shimmering, effervescent track that has a unique sense of style to it. The production is slightly wonky; the guitar is provided with an almost woodwind quality and the airiness of his voice is dialled up to eleven. Amongst it all is a sense of nostalgic melancholy and a true gift for a memorable melody. ‘Warmer Than Gold’ also acts as the title track from his upcoming twelve-track album, which is out on January 30th, 2026, via Run For Cover Records. He describes the album as a whole as being “about slipping through two worlds. One ruled by luxury and the worship of status, and another that feels like an escape, a dream you can almost touch. It’s about buses, trains, planes, about big dreams in solitude, finding something real despite everything trying to erase it. It’s about London, my family, everyone I’ve ever and never met.
