South London four-piece Goat Girl have dropped their latest single, ‘Badibaba’, in support of their upcoming album and optimistic plans for a UK Autumn tour. The track is a hazy, leftfield piece of indie-pop that combines their post-punk sensibilities with psychedelic synth melodies and layered lead vocals before diving into proto-doom metal at its climax. Speaking on the lyrical side of the track, L.E.D states that ‘Badibaba’ “is a song about environmental catastrophe and the pessimism and self-destruction that this causes to the human spirit.” Be sure to check out their upcoming album, On All Fours, at the end of the month. -Dan Peeke
