GLÜME GET LOW
LA born & raised artist Glüme describes herself as the "Walmart Marilyn Monroe". Having recently signed with Chromatics' Johnny Jewel's Italians Do It Better, 'Get Low' is the sultry first taste of her debut LP The Internet, which'll be due out later this year. Sitting atop of some seriously dystopian-sounding bass synth, 'Get Low' sounds a little like a sugar-coated Fever Ray as Glüme's beguiling vocals caress your aural cervices. Bringing a softness to that that razor sharp rhythm section, catchy melodies, and Gary Numan-esque lead lines drag 'Get Low' firmly into the realm of synth-pop, whilst lyrically touching on the chemical phenomenon of falling in love. Check out the video for 'Get Low' here now, and if you're into tap dancing you're in for a treat. -Holly Mullineaux
