‘Incandescent Strings’ is the new release from FRQNCY LDN. The track is ominous and unsettling, with Satin Beige's plucked cello reverberating around the walls of a church and to support instruments soaked with effects and the distortion of tape machine delays. Over the course of seven minutes, they create an absorbing, atmospheric world of sound. On the track’s genesis, they explain: “This was the calm before the storm. The Cello holding a consistent, relaxed heartbeat, connecting to the audience, some who stirred from daydreaming or floating or wherever the music had taken them. (around half of the audience had chosen to lie down) There was something about the electronic shimmering of the armonica, dancing wildly around the vast acoustics of the nave, awakening yet mesmerising, calm yet commanding.” FRQNCY LDN are releasing their debut album, The White Edition, on September 5th, 2025, via PRAH Recordings. -Dan Peeke
