Broadcast, Throbbing Gristle and Ought are three band's that we never thought would exist in the same bracket. However, the newest tune from L.A. outfit Froth manages to combine influences from all 3 and we're bloody loving it. With its distant vocals, rattling guitars and wildly oscillating analogue synth work, '77' is a textural blast from the past with a completely fresh vibe. Arriving just ahead of their new album Duress, due out via Wichita Recordings this Friday (7th of June), Froth have also announced a UK tour, which will take place this September. -Holly Mullineaux
