‘Only One’ is the new single from Everyone Says Hi, who are gearing up to drop their debut album this year. It’s a hugely melodic, relaxed cut that matches Nick Hodgson’s slightly gruff voice with distant guitar and piano textures and an insistent drum beat. The track is “another love song essentially, but when I write a love song they’re not very romantic but more matter-of-fact. In this case I’m saying, I love it when you phone me up in the middle of the night, something that’s pretty inconvenient but because it’s a certain person, you love it.” Everyone Says Hi will release their self-titled debut album on October 4th, 2024, via Chrysalis Records. -Dan Peeke
