Two London-based artists with striking points of view, es.cher & ultra caro combine on their boundary-pushing new single '____, close to you.' On first listen the pair are a match made in heaven, combining shoegaze-y guitars with hyperpop production and sugar-sweet vocals that deliver line after line of accomplished vocal melodies. Washed in a pristine reverb, '____, close to you' is ethereal yet present as warped beats keep a loose but vital hold on the magic of it all.
