Eagle Owl has revealed his new track, ‘way out’. It’s a moving piece of music that brings together alt-pop with R&B influences and hip-hop. The Canadian artist says he “'needed to create something that felt like an escape hatch for my own thoughts basically wanting a way out.” Musically, this manifests itself as a tension-laden cut, with an emo-inspired vocal delivery and lyrics colliding with dark, cinematic textures that come courtesy of drum machine beats and luscious synth pads. The track changes tack halfway through, giving Jaydi lead vocals and guiding it toward an almost conversational two-way conclusion.
