Finnish punk band Drug Store Raid have dropped their unapologetic new single, ‘Vi Är Finnjävlar’. The quintet have been creating a buzz since their 2021 debut thanks to an explosive live show, and a genre-defying sound that is fully present on this latest cut. It’s an energetic piece of post-punk that feels relentless. It grows from its bass-heavy opening topped by a heavy Talking Heads-esque vocal into a noisy no-wave freakout of dissonant noise by its climatic final moments. There is a distinct ability to retain sarcasm and satire within their chaotic music.
