Double Wish’s latest single ‘Blue Dream Baby’ has been given the music video treatment. The American duo have crafted a unique sound that sits somewhere between psychedelia, shoegaze and krautrock, with a layer of dark dream-pop creeping in. This track is filled with sunny harmonies and fuzzy synths that interact with delicate guitar chords. On the track’s interesting music video: “Researching these older music videos from the 90s was a ton of fun. There’s a simplicity and straightforwardness to them that I came to really appreciate and wanted to emulate in the video for ‘Blue Dream Baby.’ Sometimes big-budget productions can feel a bit divorced from the actual emotional spirit of a song, and I wanted to create imagery that felt as emotionally honest as the song does.” The band’s debut EP, Light Split Sparkle, is out now. -Dan Peeke
