Brighton-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dog In The Snow (aka Helen Ganya Brown) has been pedalling her unusual brand of melodic synth-pop since 2014. Having recently found a home with indie heroes Bella Union, the second taste of her new album Vanishing Lands is an eerie exploration of where dreams meet reality. Reflecting the track's ominous title, 'Dual Terror' pairs rigid beats with dark, swelling synth lines and otherworldly vocal effects. Shedding light on the the lyrics, and the inspiration behind the brilliant black and white video, Brown explains, "I had a dream that I met a different version of myself, one that I met alone in an abandoned house. The song parallels that with the paranoia of the end of the world and our obsession with the apocalypse." Vanishing Lands will arrive on the 15th of November. -Holly Mullineaux
