Back in July, Denzel Himself dropped his debut album, M.T.V, an ominous electronic rap album that knuckles down on his uniquely gothic sound. Now the London artist has released 'Stoned Again', a cover of King Krule's track lifted from his 2020 album Man Alive!. Compared to King Krule's vigorous drooling delivery, Denzel Himself level-headedly raps the words with precision. The production has a similar harshness to the original version, despite Denzel Himself crafting an entirely electronic backing made up from snappy beats, rumbling sub-bass, woven together with an unsettled synth line.
