Having first encountered Cosha supporting Shygirl at Heaven last year, we were instantly reeled in by her warmth and subsequently rinsed her 2021 LP Mt. Pleasant. Making a more than welcome return with the aptly-titled track 'Sun Back', the prolific songwriter and producer appears to be ready to bask in her own glory once more, following collaborations and co-writes with Charli XCX, the aforementioned Shygirl, Flo & Erika De Casier. Instantly setting a smooth, laid-back vibe, snappy beats cut through ethereal textures and sliding guitar work, making you want to move, as Cosha's soulful vocals guide the way. In her own words, its “a story of resilience, self- reflection, optimism and the rediscovery of joy - delivered from my heart through my voice and cushioned with instrumentation played by the people I love most in my life.” We'll be keeping an eagle eye on Cosha's socials to find out when we can expect more new music, but for now, lean in to the sensual sounds of 'Sun Back'. -Holly Mullineaux
