With their second album The Hanging Valley coming 19 August via Faux Discx / Gringo Records, Cold Pumas are streaming another relentlessly hypnotic cut taken from the LP. Again aligning with the likes of Preoccupations (FKA Viet Cong) and Ought, 'Severed Estates' sees the Brighton four mix thick layers of overdriven guitars with a pounding rhythm section and rambling vocal work to create their heady mix of garage-punk. It's refreshing to see a UK band do this so well, and with a short run of undoubtedly impressive live shows on the horizon, Cold Pumas are heating up nicely. -G.O'B
