Chartreuse have teamed up with Orlando Weeks for the new single, ’Satellites’. It’s a warm track that gives itself time to take in the delicate atmosphere created by distant piano and layered vocal lines. It builds to a crescendo of texture and ethereal, interstellar timbres supported by fluttering instrumentals. On the background of the track, they explain: “We sent [Orlando Weeks] a piano idea we’d been messing around with that we couldn’t seem to go any further with. He sent back a beautiful voice recording from his laptop microphone of an almost finished song about Satellites.” The band are currently on a tour of Europe, which will culminate in a headline show at London’s 100 Club on December 1st, 2022. -Dan Peeke.
