Londoner Bo Rocha has been turning out some of the most finely-wrought indie/pop singer-songwriter material of the year, and her latest track, 'Live Fast Or Die', builds heavily on previous singles 'Tangerine Flake' and 'Angel Eyes'. There's a lot more intent on show throughout 'Live Fast Or Die' - a song title with more than just a whiff of Lana Del Rey's fatalistic pop noir - as some of the more dreamy textures we've come to know from Rocha are supplanted by jarring bursts of synth and wonky beat patterns. It's a further step up in gear as Rocha prepares to release the Even Green EP next month. - DC
