The inimitable South London outfit Black Bordello have announced their sophomore LP with a beguiling new Hieronymous Bosch-inspired single. 'A Garden of Earthly Delights' is a self-described study on body vs. brain as founding songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sienna Bordello explains: “You are just viewing your romantic life like it’s a program on television, and the scenes playing out are not ones you’ve written or imagined for yourself.” Sonically explorative, whimsical electric guitar writhes through a thick vibrato as seductive bass grooves lock in with jazzy drums. Floating in a similar realm to Danny Elfman's eerie soundtracks, Sienna Bordello's charismatic vocals are delivered with a self-aware swagger, veering from ethereal to guttural as the track reaches its climax.
