New York-based Been Stellar have dropped their new single, ‘Adored’. The track provides contrast to their blistering previous releases by introducing layers of acoustic guitar and a sense of heart-on-sleeve tenderness. It’s an indie cut at its core, filled with beautifully nostalgic vocal hooks. “The distance between experience and song feels pretty slim on this one, which makes me a bit uncomfortable, but ultimately very proud,” says vocalist Sam Slocum. “I remember when we recorded it I really didn’t want to listen back because of how personal it felt, but now I see this song as a real artistic benchmark for us.” Catch Been Stellar live in the UK this August. -Dan Peeke
