After April's 'People Talk To Much', Aussie eccentrics Bananagun have dropped 'The Master', another groovy track from their sure to be wild debut album The True Story of Bananagun. Pledging allegiance to the unknown subject of the track' namesake, 'The Master's fusion of clattering percussion and rhythmic guitar work nods to West African rhythms and Brazilian tropicália before taking a sludgier, more psychedelic, turn about halfway through. Descending into a hypnotic jam, folky flutes and demented sounding (glockenspiels?) penetrate the commotion, which climaxes with a simple run across a wind chime, making it seem like the whole thing was a dream. The True Story of Bananagun is being released via Full Time Hobby on the 26th of June. -Holly Mullineaux
