Artist and producer Austel has revealed her new track, ‘The Beach In December’. With this song, she begins to dive into a spacious, deeply personal new sound which retains its signature indie-folk core, but with an ever-expanding textural warmth. Armed with little more than an acoustic guitar, Austel begins to unlock a new sense of intimacy and detail. She expands: “This song has a very specific sense of place for me, but it's also about reflection and looking back. So it felt fitting to retrace the steps of the journey within the video.” This is the first part of a new phase for Austel, so keep an eye out for more in 2026. -Dan Peeke
