Newcastle-based noise rock duo Pave The Jungle have been at the forefront of the collective minds at TMR the whole way through 2021. They’ve been dropping great singles in support of their new EP, Waiting For Nothing, all year. Back in August, ‘Picture Of Health’ introduced us to their impressive sonic palette. From the thrashing of distorted guitars to their pounding drum patterns, Pave The Jungle aim for intensity and hit it square in the face. That’s not to say they lack a delicate touch, with Rachael Whittle delivering some truly personal lyrics. “(These) are probably some of my most personal,” she says. “I write a lot about the health issues I experience; it's almost as though once I’ve written about it, I can detach myself from it, like the negativity is purged from my system.” Make sure to check out the whole of Waiting For Nothing.-Dan Peeke
