The Manchester-raised, Surrey-based Yellow Days has been a firm favourite of ours over the past year, appearing in hand-picked reviews for ‘That Easy’ and ‘Nothing’s Going To Keep Me Down’. Now on a steady rise and soon to headline London’s Electric Brixton (October 29th), the blues wunderkind has released a new stripped-down soul and funk reiimagination: ‘How Can I Love You?’ The smooth dream of a track is complemented by a music video that explores the various creative spaces of George van den Broek’s mind. Directed by James Whitby, there’s certainly a surrealist, almost Wes Anderson quality to the video, almost as though we’re delving down into Fantastic Mr. Fox’s underground lair, although with the additions of mariachi band, fishing pond, hotbox den, and a couple of repair guys (you know, just to be safe.) - Hannah Thacker
