The product of a unexpected bout of writer's block, the video for Westerman’s new single ‘Confirmation’, out now via Blue Flowers, has just dropped. It sees a purple-painted Westerman freaking various customers out in a gorgeously colourful sweetshop amidst a myriad of gobstoppers, strawberry laces and Liquorice Allsorts. It makes for incredibly compelling and slightly disorientating viewing, which matches the dreamy track perfectly. Speaking about the video, Westerman says: “We tried to put across otherness, impulsiveness and escapism. These are concepts I associate with, so I tried to make it a bit more of a personal thing than what I’ve done before. I hope it’s playful and fun too." -HM
