WALL are a four-piece hailing from New York who are bringing post-punk back to its grungy, gritty roots in their forthcoming album, Untitled LP. ‘River Mansion’ is the latest offering before the album’s release, and showcases Vince McClelland’s ability to produce lyrical, lilting guitar riffs which will stay with you for days. In ‘River Mansion’, his riffs are paired with hypnotically chugging drums and the raw vocals of frontwomen Elizabeth Skadden and Sam York. The production feels raw and incredibly intimate – a homage, perhaps, to the fact that the band have been playing this track at live shows for some time, and is a favourite amongst cult fans. WALL recently played SXSW, having earned themselves the prestigious #2 recommendation from Time Out Austin. Keep an eye out for the rest of Untitled LP, which is out via Wharf Cat Records on 28th April. -HM
