Only a week after fellow noisy Dubliners Fontaines D.C. made it into the top 10, rising post-punk purveyors The Murder Capital have revealed a tension-filled new anthem. Over its 6-minute-plus duration, ‘Green & Blue’'s tribal tom strikes remain constant, channelling Joy Division drummer Stephen Morris’ precise style as a grief-stricken bass line haunts the mix. Abrasive guitar work punctuates the track, working directly in contrast to vocalist James McGovern's impassioned delivery. Arriving complete with a cinematic video directed by Ethan Barrett and Tom Gillian, ‘Green and Blue’ will be released as a limited edition 12” via Human Season Records on the 14th of June. -Holly Mullineaux
