Oakland-based singer-songwriter Samaria is wise far beyond her mere 19 years. She’s making some of the coolest, cutting-edge R&B out there at the moment, which most recently included EP The Story Of Right Now. She’s just dropped her new single ‘Foolish’, though, and with self-deprecating lyrics like ‘Why do I do that, get my shit together just to go and lose it, I’m foolish’, Samiria proves that she isn’t afraid to look in the mirror for the answers to life’s most difficult questions. To accompany this merciless tirade, Samira has dropped a powerful lyric video (check it out here) which juxtaposes romantic imagery with stunning self-portraits.
