Hailing from Ireland, young duo Saint Sister are quickly establishing themselves as the ones to beat in all things folk. Their latest single, ‘Tin Man’, was inspired by a John Donne poem, and the accompanying visuals are shot beautifully. The video tells a Wizard of Oz-inspired story where Dorothy is forced to pick herself a partner (inevitably, the Tin Man), in a Take Me Out-style gameshow. The poignant message of the video and track is made all the more effective by highlighting the repeating, haunting refrain: "The tin man will not desert me". The overall effect is delicate, slightly uncomfortable, and draws all attention to the beauty of the track itself. ‘Tin Man’ is released on 7” this Friday via Communion Singles. -HM
