Today, we’re premiering a new track from Los Angeles duo Luc (pronounced “luke”). Their delivery of ‘New Rock City’ can easily be labelled as West Coast indie, with the American accented lead vocal, atmospheric keys, minimalist electronica, pop-leaning melodies and a gloss finish production. The contrast between the technical and the natural relays the idea of “a new era," the L.A. pair explain, “a movement unified by human connection and interaction; honesty and empathy; an awareness that we can only be so aware and an acceptance of ourselves.”

With this context, this empathetic slow-burner becomes a piano-led journey, the euphoric bursts of digital sound bringing one closer to a supposed destination.
