The young talent has stunned so far with her effortless vocals on ‘Somewhere Good’ and ‘Searching’, and has now dropped new single ‘Painkiller’ via Method Records. The track is about “that feeling we’ve all had, waking up from the night before having poured your heart out; reflecting on what was said and the emotions that stirs” describes Dawson. Bringing that night back into sharper focus are HONNE, who have produced the track to complement Dawson’s soft, airy vocals perfectly – beefing up the heady chorus and drawing back to let the lyrics come through in the verses. The video features actor Jake Davies from The Missing who was chosen specifically by Dawson in the spot which traces a night out through its full emotions.
